Several look the part but it can so easily be just an act. This is what the phrase hypocrisy really indicates. It indicates an actor. Somebody wearing a mask and that Somebody is different in reality from what they show and indicate towards the outside world.
Judas Iscariot looked the part, but he was not loving. His love was suspect. Judas could have spoken about becoming with Jesus and becoming called and chosen but his testimony would have been only phrases. It was like Herod. With Herod, it was all phrases, and phrases soon withered and died. Judas was not lovingly loyal to Jesus Christ. We study all of the details in John Chapter 13. Do take time to study the passage and check it out.
Jesus has been speaking about going away and Peter asks, “Lord, exactly where are you going?” You cannot arrive just now but which will be feasible later.
Here are three fantastic questions about existence after death. exactly where is it? How are we to obtain there? Who are we going to meet?
Jesus deals with these three essential questions leaving no room for doubt.
This is usually Peter. I want to arrive with you now. Do not just wash my feet, but hands and head as properly. Peter could not go just yet – not for an additional 30 many years or so. He had work to do.
Do you not really like Peter? He makes so Several blunders – like us – one after the other – and it doesn’t matter which Gospel you study, and Jesus uses every blunder.
We should try not to blunder our way through our Christian existence, but if we do, when we do, the risen and living Christ can still use us. Jesus is so comforting and compassionate.
I’m going to prepare the Father’s House for you personally.
I’m going to prepare a place for you personally to arrive house to, and This is the same phrase used for “no room at the inn”.
There was no resting place for Jesus when he came into this world, but now he is saying to those that believe in Him, “There is going to be lots of room and lots of ‘resting places’ for you personally.” This is so encouraging and it’s so accurate.
Now, Jesus doesn’t say something He doesn’t mean, and He makes it clear that He will not leave us to make our own way there. I will arrive for you personally.
If we belong to Jesus Christ, then one day he will say, once our days of ministry and service are over and complete, ‘Come on house now. The room is ready. You have followed Me all these many years. Now, just continue to follow.” it’s quite similar to Enoch, who walked with God and who walked so closely with God that one day the two of them just walk back house together. Now, what that indicates physically I Do not fully comprehend, but I know what it indicates and I know that it’s real and accurate. When a man walks with God he understands these spiritual realities and truths.
You’ll not discover much more comforting phrases in the entire universe than these.
Thomas is looking a bit worried. Right towards the end Jesus said things that gave His disciples worried looks. Thomas is nearly cheeky. You realize exactly where you are going but we do not know exactly where you are going so how can we know the way in which. Jesus is so lovingly patient.
If it were not for these phrases of Thomas we might never have had these famous phrases in verse 6 of John Chapter 14. I’m the way in which and the truth and the existence; no man comes towards the Father except through Me. You realize the way in which because You realize Me. I’m the way in which. When You realize me You realize the way in which. These sentences know no parallel anywhere.
