Remember the story about when Jesus' disciples tried to heal the epileptic child and failed? They could not understand why they could not heal him. They decided to wait for Jesus.
When Jesus showed up, they explained to him what had transpired. Jesus asked them how long the child had been with this sickness. The father told him the child had been epileptic from infancy, and that they had traveled to many lands but were unable to get him any help.
The disciples said that when they had tried to heal the boy, they had spoken the Word but nothing happened. They asked Jesus why they weren't able to heal the child.
Jesus told them that their previous successes had made them careless. Even though they spoke the Word, the spirit of the Word, prayer, and faith apparently were not there. Prayer and faith are required components of any healing. The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ.
Failure to accomplish something is not necessarily a bad thing. We can learn from it. We need these learning experiences so we can grow spiritually.
When we help others with loving-kindness, love grows within us, we grow spiritually. If a person feels like they don't know how to love, or they can't love, they can still choose to help others with a non-judgmental attitude of kindness. Then they will find that unconditional love growing within their hearts, and faith, will be natural by products of these kind actions. At the same time, they will begin to establish a wonderful relationship with our heavenly Father.
