In Old Testament times before Jesus appears in the Bible, God had a chosen country. He loved these people and gave them the laws and regulations. By obeying these laws they had a personal relationship with God. Most of the people did not follow the law of God. When Jesus came, with his death and resurrection, things changed.
Romans 10:12 for there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. Jesus came to this world with a specific mission; he came to save the human race. In John 3:17, it says that Jesus did not come to condemn us. Thanks to that, people from all countries can have a close relationship with God through Jesus.
The sacrifice that Jesus did in the cross was for our salvation, but He did not die. He died and rose from the grave. This is the difference between Christianity and other religions. Our savior is alive, the one and only God. The personal relationship that we have with the Lord is unique. Jesus is everything for the Christians.
In the 1800s, many missionaries received the call to go and evangelize the world. They went to other countries with different languages, different customs, and different religions. It was not easy, but many Christian workers left their own countries to evangelize the world. Some of them were put in prison and some were murdered.
In the 21st century, there are still people who dont know the gospel; the love of God for us is so big that He gives us many chances. God uses any open door to reach lost souls. Some ministries take this very seriously and give donations for this purpose.
Distributions of Bibles in different languages, Christian literature, radio and television ministries, air mail and ground mail, and now the internet, we are trying to reach people all over the world. We want every living soul to know what Jesus did in the cross of Calvary.
Christians in our countries can do a lot by supporting these ministries. We must pray and do what we can do to help this mission of spreading the gospel. We must pray for honest people who preach the gospel in all media.
Isaiah 52:7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings of good things, who proclaims salvation, who says Zion, Your God Reigns! The Bible describes as beautiful those who preach the gospel in different ways.
